This Privacy Policy explains what information Twist (operated by OuRNG, "we," "us") collects when you use ourng.net and Twist Studio (the "Service"), and how we use it.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address, password | Account creation and sign-in (handled by our auth provider, Supabase — we never see your raw password) |
| Display name | Shown publicly as your author byline if you publish a Book |
| Books you write | Your manuscripts, stored so you can edit and publish them |
| Purchase & payout records | Which Books you've bought, and for writers, your connected Stripe account status — needed to grant access and route payments |
| Basic technical data | IP address and request logs, collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention |
We never see or store your full card number — payments are handled entirely by Stripe. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.
If you write without an account, your draft is saved only in your browser's local storage on your device — we never see it unless you sign in and it syncs to your account.
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make Twist work:
If you publish a Book, your display name and Book content are public by design — anyone can read a published Book and see its byline.
You can update your display name and password anytime from your account menu in Twist Studio. To access, correct, or delete other data we hold about you — including deleting your account entirely — email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your personal data but doesn't retroactively undo Books you've already published or sales that already completed (we keep records needed for tax and payment-dispute purposes as required by law).
Twist isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email [email protected] and we'll remove it.
We keep account and purchase data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes.
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
